Parent Coaching
Support for you, as you support your child
Parenting can feel particularly hard when your child is struggling and you're no longer sure how best to help. You may find yourself questioning how to respond, getting caught in the same difficult patterns, or simply wishing you had some space to think things through.
Parent coaching gives you that space - somewhere to step back, make sense of what's happening and find an approach that feels right for both you and your child.

Parent coaching might be helpful if...

Your child's worries or big emotions are becoming difficult to navigate

You're unsure how to respond to challenging behaviour

The same situations seem to keep ending in conflict

You and your child seem to be getting stuck in unhelpful patterns

You know how you'd like to respond, but find it difficult in the moment

You feel your child may not be ready or comfortable engaging in coaching themselves

A space to step back and think
Parent coaching isn't about being told how to parent or being given a set of rules to follow. You know your child and your family best.
Instead, sessions give you dedicated space to step back from day-to-day family life and look at what's happening with a little more perspective. We might explore a situation that's becoming difficult, patterns you've noticed, how you're responding in the moment, or what could be sitting underneath your child's behaviour.
Through conversation, reflection and practical ideas, we'll explore different perspectives and help you find approaches that feel realistic and right for your family.
How does it work?

We'll start with an informal conversation about what's been happening, what you'd like support with and what you're hoping might change.
It's a chance to ask questions and see whether coaching feels like the right fit.
Sessions can then be arranged individually or as a short block, depending on what would be most helpful. Each session is shaped around what's happening for you and your child at that time.
Sessions are available online via Zoom or face-to-face locally in Haywards Heath.
Let's start with a conversation
